Using ChatGPT to Organize Class Notes and Create Flashcards

This example demonstrates how to use two conversations to accomplish two related tasks: the first task involves an example of how to use FlexChat.ai and Word to clean-up class notes, providing clarifications, and adding details. The second task involves instructions for creating flashcards from those enhanced notes.

If you don’t want to start from scratch, you can download a pre-built Word document with these conversations.

After you open this document in Word, you’ll probably have to click “Enable Editing” before you can edit it.

Open Word
Insert 2 new Conversations into your document by selecting the New Conversation tool from the FlexChat ribbon, twice.
Enter the Conversation values as shown below for each conversation
Click within the first table, then select FlexChat tool from the FlexChat ribbon to get the expanded class notes
Create Flashcard Content
- Click within the expanded class notes, then select the Copy Content tool from the FlexChat Ribbon to copy the notes
- Click in the User Prompt cell of the Create Flashcards conversation
- Click the Paste Content tool on the FlexChat ribbon to paste your expanded class notes here
- Select the FlexChat tool from the FlexChat ribbon to create the flashcards
- Click in your list of flashchards
- Select the Copy Content tool on the FlexChat ribbon to copy your flashcard content
Create Flashcards on Cram.com
- In your web-browser, go to https://www.cram.com/flashcards/create
- Give your flashcards a title in the Set Title field
- In the Create Flashcards section paste your flashcard content into the “COPY AND PASTE YOUR DATA”
- Click the Import Data button
- Click the Create Set button to create your flashcards.
