The tools in the FlexChat section relate to the current FlexChat “Conversation”. The Conversation is a table within your document that looks like this:
To create a New Conversation in your document, click the “New Conversation” Command
Because you can have multiple conversations in your document, the current conversation is defined as the conversation in which your cursor is currently located.
The Conversation contains the conversation that you are having with ChatGPT, including various parameters to govern how ChatGPT responds to prompts (your question, statement, or instructions to be sent to ChatGPT) that you provide.
For more information about the parameters and working with of the table see the Flex Chat Conversation help area.
FlexChat – Will send information in the current Conversation (the conversation in which your cursor is located), to ChatGPT and put ChatGPT’s response in the Assistant area of the conversation.
You can have multiple conversations in your FlexChat.ai document

Copy Content – Puts a copy of the content from the current cell on the Clipboard so you can paste it somewhere else.
Paste Content – Replace the content of the current cell with the content on the Clipboard.
The Other Chat section prompts ChatGPT to respond to the text that you have selected in your document, or if there’s no text selected, then it responds to the text in the cell where the cursor is located. The results of the interaction are placed within your document and also placed on your clipboard so you can paste them somewhere else.
These chats use the model defined as the Default Chat Model in the user Settings.
Simple Chat – ChatGPT takes the selected text, or text in the current table cell, as a prompt, and responds accordingly.
Expand Text – Expands on the currently selected text, or text in the current table cell.
Summarize Text – Summarizes the currently selected text, or text in the current table cell.
The tools in the Create Image section relate to the Image Specs. Image Specs is a table within your document which gives you full control over the type of image to generate. The Image Specs table looks like this:
Create Image – Will send information in the current Image Specs table (the image specs table in which your cursor is located), to DALL-E and put the generated image in your document below the table. The image will also be saved on your computer in C:\Users\Public\Pictures.

The specifications for the image (what model to use, size, etc.) are the Default Image Model settings in the user Settings.
The image will be placed within your document and will also be saved on your computer in C:\Users\Public\Pictures.
You can select the same prompt text again and use this tool to get an alternative image.
